So charming and very boho – is this fun vintage novelty saddlebag style handbag featuring the classic "Rooster of Barcelos", in rich autumnal colors, circa 1970s. 

Portuguese in origin, the double saddlebag style tote bag consists of a thick cotton or cotton blend weave, with a solid rug like weight, comprising two deep rectangular shaped pockets, each embroidered with a raised and well textured black and red cockerel, along with a single wooden ring handle -- comprising colors of red, yellow, and black,  with red tassels on each corner. 

The saddle bags measure approximately 11&1/2 inches wide, and the handbag in its entirety hangs around 19 inches in length, from top of handle to base of bag.

There are no labels.

Very good condition – with colors and weave remaining vibrant and intact.
